                   I.                        Introduction:
The importance of psychologically development for any professional, in particular the health care professional is a sound mind inhibits a sound body and good health practices.  Without psychological development one can not have the ability to move on spiritually to create wellness and physically. I came through over 20 years ago a mentally abusive marriage, it took no physician or counselor to tell me that I had been broken; that I was not the person that God made me to be.  It is at the point of realization that one seeks help for a condition.  Born with a profound spirit and raised with incredible faith in God that he would see me through, faith guided me to Japanese psychiatrist.  First sessions went on for months, of just speaking of occurrences in the marriage and how it came about; how I felt about things; and how I dealt with things.  Two years later, the process of healing of the mind, spirit and body had taken place and I had become the person I once was.  My new innocence had arrived; today I stay tuned to his teachings.
                II.                         Assessment:
Scoring my wellness at the new 30 is quite easy an overall; 10 if we do so on a scale of 1-10.  Psychical health comprises of Absences seizures received after an automobile accident in 2002, no other health modalities exist.  Spiritually, my faith is what has kept me grounded; it is what continues to make me grateful, kind at heart, love my fellow man as I love myself, and forgive all injustices.  Mentally, always takes me back to Dr. Wu, we go over mental fitness from time to time.  Buy doing so assurances, that I am still on a healthy path and understanding of awakening a being integrated daily.  These meetings may occur every three years or so, and are more often reunions to assure growth outcomes.  What is generally found is that more people have been helped by my teachings because of his work with me.
             III.                        Goal development:
At this point most if not all goal have been met.  The continuations to practice the changes that have come about and not to allow any person, place, or thing destroy what you are the struggle once you have acquired your awakening of psychological, spiritual, and mental health.  Most certainly knowing that with this you will begin to shine a different type of light, which others will not understand.  When a light shines brighter than one can imagine, some want to retrieve that light because they do not have, nor do they know how to obtain it.  This condition of thinking sets the different person out to take your flourishing light.  In the most basic of terms when you flourish you will acquire enemies.  Positive meets negative because you are light.
             IV.                        Practices for personal health:
For my physical health my diet is very important, the recommendations from the food pyramid are not for everyone.  My stomach is small and could not hold half of what they recommend.  I eat fruits in the morning and vegetable and 5 ounces of meat in the evening; everything must be organic and fresh.  I do Tai’ Chi’, walk and run three to four time per week, I always take stairs.  For my psychological wellness, I read my bible and stay prayed up and over, meditation several hours per day is a must.  My routine combines the mental and spiritual, because you can not have one without the other.  The calm-abiding mind, must meditate, as with the witnessing mind, to come to come to spiritual peace (Dacher, 2006).
                V.                        Commitment:
I will continue to stay on the healing path that I have practiced for about 20 years.  The awakening model is the same model as the Integral Health model, however with a different name.  Each night at bedtime I will still recap my day to assure that I was the best person that I could be; and had caused no harm to another or myself.  I will request forgiveness for any sins known and unknown, and forgive those that have wronged me.  I will continue to donate, contribute to, and work with causes for the betterment of mankind.  I will look out for those that need my help and do what I can, exercise, eat well, meditate, be forever grateful, forgiving, and kind to all living things.  This is my commitment to life.  I can continue to use Dr. Wu’s strategy to stay focused, as it has worked very well when I feel as though I may be falling.  Namaste

  2. "Most certainly knowing that with this you will begin to shine a different type of light, which others will not understand. Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

I believe that we have been charged by our Lord Jesus Christ to shine as brightly as possible as to eliminate any doubt of why we are good, why we are righteous and why we are called to flourish and be fruitful.

Many blessings to you and yours for all the days long after this class,

  3. Good project! It is good to see such a positive individual living towards a "healthier you!" Keep that high positive energy, motivation, and willingness. With this you will continue to live the life the way it is intended. As for me, I am only 20 and still have a lot to learn and experience. I too intend to stay positive and will reach all my goals I have set out to do.

  4. Lisa, you are such a positive person and role model to all of us. I have appreciated all of your posts and just wanted to let you know that I think you are a remarkable person with a beautiful spirit. It can be seen in your writings on here and in our discussion boards. I believe if we could all live a life to the betterment of all mankind, being generous with our physical and emotional abilities what a lovely world we could all live in.

  5. I love how you take care of yourself. I am a small eater as well. I should consume 1900-2300 calories per day depending on he season and I struggle to consume over 1200 calories most of the time. I eat fresh foods that are low in calories and I get full very fast. Recapping your day every evening is awesome and I think that is something that I will do. It is important to be the best person you can be and by recapping at the end of the night you can make changes. If you felt you did something wrong it will allow you to make a change next time around. I enjoyed reading your project, you are motivational!

  6. Hi Lisa,

I just read this amazing quote today that I wanted to write down, because as soon as I read your final paper I thought of you and how this statement just seems to fit:

"If you are depressed, you are living in the PAST. If you are anxious, you are living in the FUTURE. If you are at peace, you are living in the PRESENT." -Lao Tzu

Whenever we experience true hardship in life it will leave a mark on us. Judging by the severity of your circumstances in the past I would think that you walked away with deep bruises. Luckily your inherent faith drove you to seek qualified help and stumble across the doctor you worked with. I am very happy to read about the successes in your life, you seem very balanced, determined and downright happy about where your life currently is and where it is headed. I wish you the very best from the bottom of my heart, may you be happy, healthy and content for all of your life, also best of luck in finishing your studies and embarking on a professional adventure!

    Dunja :)

  7. In your assessment you wrote that it is your faith that keeps you grounded. It is good to know someone in the same faith as you which is believing that Jesus is Lord. This faith also open me up spiritually to love, care, and to serve others with loving-kindness. It has been a joy reading your post and developing in these areas with you. I hope this is not the last communication that we will have because we are just getting started LOL.
