A Happy Life

Mindful Meditation- Unit 7 Blog

This was a very long and tedious week, as we lead up to the final weeks of the term, more demands are put on us as students to prove what we have learned.  For some students the ability to prove what our brains have obtained may not be measured in a test, nor written in a paper, it must be extrapolated by some other means.  With this process of purging information that has been processed, digested, and now regurgitated, one must meditate the mind back into the original state of being.  Being is not self inflicted but rather a peace of uninterrupted space that belongs to you without interference.  This allows for a greater peace of the whole you, the peace that allows others to ask, “Are you tuning me out”, while you answer “No, I am tuning me in”.  You are physically well because your mind only harnesses positive emotion; you have purged the negative thoughts and allowed you to move forward.
The saying “One can not lead another where one has not yet gone himself”, simply states that you can not teach Integral Health, if you are unhealthy in your mind, spirit, and body.  I can not speak to drug addiction, because I know not of it.  You can not teach or tell a patient about something you know nothing of first hand, it is not best practice, and yes we are obligate to client to be psychologically, physically and spiritually sound.  It is imperative that we practice what we preach; the sick under no circumstance can heal the sick.  It is our inherit duty to be well in every facet of life, seek ye and it shall be answered.  Namaste

In Life

Today Walking in another Mans Shoes

Today, I had a great deal of school work to complete. I made a list of test, blog postings, and reading that needed to be completed so that I could move on to assignments that are due in the weeks leading up to finals.  Noone likes the stress of Finals, to beat that stress I found that completed assingments by Sunday every week alleviates the Finals stress, and allows students to keep up with weekly work.  Today I was side tracked-Oh boy found an obstacle.  One person had posted a blog other than myself.  Dear sweet Vinnie, I am unable to blog you guys if you are not here.  Look forward to reading any blog before Monday or Tuesday.

To Save My Life

        Unit 5- Subtle Mind

We are being asked to compare and contrast the Loving-Kindness and Subtle Mind mp3 benefits, frustrations.  Before taking this class, I attended another similar class offered by Kaplan; Stress- Critical Issues in Management and Prevention.  This class had been a choice, because I felt it would help me to help the patient base, focus on managing stressful issues.  Therefore being better at what I chose to do, but it did not, the class instead focused on my stress and how to deal with my stress.  I guess one might say ”you could have bought me for a nickel”, I had many problems in the class, I could not comprehend very well what the Professor was presenting to the class, nor could I answer any of the test questions.  However, I did pass with an “A”.
Everything in life is not a perfect fit to everyone, and not everyone stresses over mess, large or small.  If I had to compare the two mp3 recordings I would have the same reaction to both.  I have be taught by the very nature of my being to exist in the comfort of light, I can live alone, be alone, speak with no one and have conversations so delightful and peaceful that my soul stands still.  I am at peace with my mind, spirit, body and all that surround me in my space, loving-kindness is not something you should be conscious of doing; one should just be doing it and not speaking of their good works.  To meditate, by all intent means that you have come to and found that inner peace, to love, forgive, forget. And go inside yourself and have inner peace with YOU.   Consequently, before I could get here I had to have a long hard cry, a purging of sorts, a cleansing of all that hurt in my heart.  We must first love and forgive us, but we must also let all the hurt out of our hearts.

Loving- Kindness

                       Unit 4 Loving-Kindness

Through my own experience: From the introduction, as Dacher began to speak you are in a conscious and calm mind and body, as you view the array of images on the computer monitor.  Following the instructions of the Loving-kindness mp3 I was lead to a state of meditation.  In this meditation I can not confer upon what occurred with the exception of a lucid state of consciousness.  This may work differently for various people as our minds have been trained in different ways.  I have be trained to meditation in a way that noise is blocked out and one is dimensional, or rather in another place, breathing has slowed to 2 to 3 breaths per minute and it may continue for hours.
My memory of the young woman’s voice at some point became very vivid and all together disappeared.  The exercise was beneficial to me, at that time I had taken many test and needed to stop and relax my mind and spirit.  The recommendation of Loving-kindness is one that should be recognized to any and everyone; I recommend it as a part of healing and feeling.
The concept grows from Loving-Kindness and that enduring well-being requires a diminished focus on ones self.  Also, the subtle mind and wisdom; as it relates to ever growing knowledge and learning to still the mind, to allow us to train and tame the mind, open the heart, expand consciousness, and progress toward psychospiritual flourishing.  It is ask that you start a few minutes per day, a certain time of day, best in the morning, be in your home, be private; conductive to silence, and comfortable.  Research has indicated that” mental workout” has effects on our hormonal and immune system.  Namaste to my Professor and classmates.

Unit 3 Holistic Personal Inventory

                   Unit 3- Holistic Personal Inventory

Physical Wellness- It was my physical wellness that first drew me into the holistic approach to healing of the mind body and spirit.  For almost 20 years it has been my best thought in theory this is the best form of healing practice. Since it covers the mind working in a natural sense.

Spiritual Wellness-  My total belief in God above and full trust in him is what I count on daily to get me through every moment of everyday. When storms arise I give them over to God in prayer and forget about them. The theory "Let go and let God" is how I practice and address stressful issues.

Psychological Wellness-  Every now and then I check in with my shrink to make sure that I am still good and sufficient in thoughts.

        Part 2

Physical Goals- Keep on my exercise program and continue to eat right.

Spiritual Goals-  Keep walking with God and never stray.

Psychological Goals- Keep life moving in a positive direction.

      Part 3
Personally, I need to be more interactive within the human race as a whole. I am one person that has the ability to change things, however people are power.

Reflections

Change
I am by far not who I use to be, somehow I feel that I am much better, wiser, and stronger today.  The spirit inside of me has come full circle and grown to touch those beside, around, and alongside of me.  Some see this as a light given to me as grace, a spirit given in the face of many storms past over.  Whatever it may be, I know this life to be my playgroung of joy, peace, and gratefulness. Namaste
I plan to comment on my classmates blogs by simply pressing comment signing in and posting my comment.  I wish you all peace, love, happiness, joy and among all things everlasting life.

Week 2 and a Rocky Road Ahead

Hello all,
It is week two of classes and I am now wondering what I have gotten myself into?  The way I see it, I am at the bottom of a mountain looking at the top of the peak.  I have a red flag in my hand to mark the finish. lol  Let a girl dream, hope is alive.
